Remember what the 2004 Presidential Election is about, fellow Americans!
Today I spoke to someone who actually thinks terrorists hate us because of President Bush, and that if Kerry is elected, peace and harmony will explode over humanity. What is it with you people!?!?
Let's review some of the basics about this Presidential Election coming up on November 2nd:
First of all, terrorists won't stop hating Americans just because a weak, waffling, dishonest man like John F. Kerry is in the White House (HEAVEN FORBID!!!). In fact, they will only be encouraged if a weakling like Kerry is elected, because he will stop fighting the War on Terrorism. Trying to pretend that President Bush is somehow responsible for the hatred that the 9/11 terrorists (not to mention the rest of al-quaeda) is not only dishonest and disingenuous, but it is downright dastardly.
Sadly, only small minds seem to want to get rid of President George W. Bush. Those of us who can think for ourselves, and do, appreciate the President's steady leadership in such perilous times.
As far as those who think Gore was the "real winner" in 2000, just remember that hundreds of thousands of (illegal) votes of homeless, illegal immigrants, and deceased registered voters were cast, but Al Gore still couldn't steal the election. I give him and the hardcore Democrat activists an "A" for effort, despite the fact that they deserve jail time.
Finally, it's about much more than the hatred of anti-Bush wackos. Not only do we need the President's steady leadership in times of change such as these, but the economic recovery depends on the President's Tax Cuts. Sure, the Bush Administration's policies have helped create 1.1 Million jobs this year, and sure, we are currently blessed with a lower unemployment rate than the average during the Clinton Administration, but we still have far to go until America has had a chance to economically heal from the following:
1) The 9/11 Attacks and their effect on our economy
2) The Clinton/Gore recession that began before President George W. Bush had even submitted his first budget (that was the first chance The President had to put policies in place that could affect economic growth)
3) The SARS epidemic, which affected the global economy
4) The wall street accounting scandals, with Global Crossing, Enron, Tyco, Anderson Consulting, and the rest causing severe damage to our economy, and finally
5) The dot-com bust, which started in May of 2000, but wasn't obvious to the general public until October 200o to March 2001, depending on how informed one was at the time.
And let's not forget that according to the non-partisan National Journal, John F. Kerry is the most liberal member of the Senate - more liberal than Hilary Clinton or Ted Kennedy.
Kerry's defense record is troubling. Kerry has voted against national defense every opportunity he has had. He voted against the Bradley Fighting Vehicle, Patriot Missiles, B2 Bomber, the F-15, the F-16, the F-18, the Cruise Missile, Minuteman missiles, Apache Helicopters, Comanche Helicopters, and more.
If John F. Kerry had his way, our Military would be so weak that Osama Bin Laden's training camps in Afghanistan would probably still be running smoothly. John Kerry has repeatedly voted against weapons systems vital to the War on Terror throughout his Senate career.
Also, remember that John Kerry voted against funding our troops in Iraq...AFTER he voted to go to Iraq in October of 2002. Flip. According to The Union Leader, Kerry has "waffled" on historic education reforms he supported in 2001, but now opposes. Flop.
On the Economy, let's not forget that John Kerry supported a $.50/gallon gas tax, and during his career, has voted for gas tax increases ELEVEN TIMES.
Speaking of taxes, John F. Kerry has promised tax increases and spending programs during his first 100 days alone which will require $900 BILLION in new taxes, and that's just his first 100 days!
Overall, John Kerry has voted for higher taxes over 350 times during his career. He has opposed tax relief for married couples 22 times. Kerry even supported increasing taxes on Social Security Benefits! Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!
The Wall Street Journal has said that Kerry's Tax Plan "would mean increasing the tax burden again, which would likely KILL THE RECOVERY." (emphasis added)
In the final analysis, it appears that a vote for John F. Kerry is a vote against national defense, against the economy, and for indecisive, weak leadership for at least four years. Please, oh please, re-elect President George W. Bush.
